GROSSETO is a city in the south of TUSCANY . I live with my parents and my 22 year old brother MAX . Actually MAX is at the university of SIENA and is studying BIOLOGY. I am in the fourth year in secondary school . My hobbies are swimming , cycling , I enjoybowling , volley-ball , basketball  and I am a supporter of FERRARI in FORMULA 1 . I would like to travel towards European and American countries and in Asia I should like to visit Japan . My plans for future are:  travelling abroad and to take up my own residence

Elisa Bassi:

My name is Elisa, I live with my parents and my brother Nicola, in a small town in Tuscany called Grosseto, near Florence and Siena.

Grosseto is not so far from the sea and from the mountains, so in summer you can enjoy the sea side and in winter you can ski. Grosseto is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards.Near my town there are an important Etruscan and Roman necropolis.

My plan for the future is to go to university and take a course (three years) to become a physiotherapist but before that I have to pass a selection exam.If I fail the exam, I was thinking of looking for job in England to improve my English and to take the physiotherapist exam again in September 2001 and I would like to continue practising however my favourite sport:rhythmic gymnastics not as a gymnast but as a trainer.

Giulia Bianchini:

I’m Giulia, I’m 18 years old and I live in Grosseto with my parents. My hobby is rhytmic dancing, that I practice this twice or three times a week.

In my spare time I like reading and going out with my friends.

Travelling is the thing that I love most;I have been to some European countries and also outside Europe.

I don’t know what I’ll do future, but I’m sure I’ll go to university and I will continue to travel. 

Michela Falcini:

My name is Michela Falcini and I live in a little village near Grosseto.I have a house in the country since i was a child. I like this area very much. I have lots of pets: cats, dogs, three horses and farmyard animals.I am eighteen years old and I was born in Grosseto (on the 30th January in 1981). In all sincerity I look fifteen in fact lots of people say I seem young for my age. I live with my family,I have a sister, Alessandra, who is fourteen years old. I spend my time going to school and studying. I am in my last year and I have to pass the school leaving exam(state exam) and I take my exams inJjune 2000.In my spare time I like going out with my friends, going to the cinema and dancing.

I love reading verymuch, especially thriller and detective stories. The last book I read is “Misery”, written by Stephen King.Also shopping is one of my favourite hobbies; I love spending money: it is a good method when you are under stress! Three times a week I usually go to the gymn because I love keeping fit and staying healthy.

After finishing school I’m going to go to university to study law. My ambition is to become a lawyer, a person who is qualified to advise people about the law and represent them in court, It is my dream! I’m studying languages but I don’t want to continue to study them, even though I love travelling.

Debora Moscato:

I’m Debora, i’m 18 and perhaps after this last year of school I’ll go to university to study “Science of Communication”.For the last seven years I have worked in the summer in my family’s bookshop so I’m an ecellent dealer!(I’m joking!). I would like to other works either in italy or abroad. I like to work with my computer and very soon I’ll have E-mail so I’ll be able to receive mail on line as in the movie ”I’ve got mail”!I like the cinema very much especially stories such as the film “Notting Hill” with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant:It’s very nice!!

I live in Grosseto with my parents,oI have a brothero,Giacomo, who is 26 years old but now he lives with his girlfriend in Siena.I love travelling and I have been to France, Switzerland and Austria but my dream is to go to the USA.I hope to realize my dream!!

Sara Severini:

My name is Sara Severini: I’m rather tall, slim with short brown hair, green eyes and a pleasant face: I’m friendly, always serene with a prompt smile! I like walking, meeting my friends for eating a pizza(my favourite dish!)or going to the cinema or to the theatre, instead of watching Tv or going to discos. I like sports: I can swim and ski;but just for fun! I’m an eighteen years old student in the last year of Magistrale Linguistico. I chose this school because I like studying subjects like Italian, philosophy and foreign languages because I like speaking them. After my exams I’m very sure about going to university: I would like to attend the Faculty of Law, perhaps in Pisa or in Pavia: I don’t know exactly! My dream, since I was a child, has been to become a famous lawyer like Perry Mason for example!

I live in Grosseto in the suburbs in an area called “Oliveto” which means “olive grove” in English. This place, not far from the military airport, is very peaceful and full of green fields or parks. I’m an only child, but I wish I had a sister or a brother! My mother, Rina, is a teacher in a Nursery School and my father, Fernando, is a bank clerk and a professional accountant with a private office. I don’t like pets very much in fact I have no animals in my house.

My name is Chiara. I am 18 years old and I still live with my parents. I live in a quiet little town called Castiglione della Pescaia; it is near the sea and for this reason there are many more seagulls than people! In the summer a lot of tourists come to spend a holiday; but unfortunately they often upset the balance of the town. I like travelling very much; in fact I have visited a lot of European states. This is also one of the reasons I'd like to become a journalist. I think it's a beautiful job, because it allows one to travel and to get to know a lot of people.

Hello! My name is Claudia and I live in Grosseto, a small boring city near the beach. I'll be 18 in December and I hope to get my driving licence as soon as possible! I really love languages and I'd like to become a  translator but here in Italy it's really difficult to pass the entrance-exam at university. This summer I went to Ireland for a month, I improved my English and learned a lot of Irish songs while I was drinking beer in the pub. I really would like to learn now to play the guitar, but it's just a dream because I have been trying for a year and I can only play just two stupid songs! LUANA BARTOLINI

Iam an italian girl. .My name is Luana Bartolini.. I am 20 years old  and I go to scgool. This year I’m going to take my final exams and I am studying hard.

I live in a small town a few miles from Grosseto, it is called Albinia.Unfortunately I have no brothers or sisters, my mother is a cook in a restaurant and my father works in a chemistry firm. I like all kinds of animals, I have a little dog, Rambo, it is 12 years old, and I have also a turtle.

In summer I like going to the seaside to Giannella or Porto Santo Stefano, where I have a lot of friends; I like listening to the music, especially Madonna, The Coors, Sting, Oasis, The Verve and many others; and above all I like writing letters and having fun with my friends. I enjoy cooking, in fact I try very often to prepare some cakes such as: apple pie, tiramisù…One of the most exciting thing to me is travelling; unfortunately I haven’t had so much time to treavel but I went with the school toAvignone in France, and in Germany to Mainz. It was fantastic! I hope to go in America or Austria very soon, perhaps when I have finished school , since I don’t think I’ll go to the university, but I rather find a job, even if today is difficult.

Concerning my plans for the future I don’t know at the moment; I think I’ll finish the school then. We’ll see; I’ll have a lot of time to decide.

My name is Maria and I’m 18. I live in Grosseto with my parents and my two brothers. Grosseto is a very small and it’s not far from the the sea and the mountains. The countryside around Grosseto is femous for its olive groves, fertile fields, fruit trees and vineyards. In summer the seaside villages around my town are really full of people especially foreigners.

I sometimes think about my plans for the future, but i haven’t a clear idea. I would like to find a job in a political or diplomatic field, because I am interested in these subjects. But I am also a romantis and shy girl, I am helpful, and in in my opinion the most important moral value in our lives is friendship.

I'm Giulia Rechichi and I'm eighteen years old. I live in Grosseto with my family which is made up of my father, my mother, my sister and my little puppy. It's a fashion  marketing university and the course lasts 3 years. During this time I'll have the chance to go abroad and do some "stages" for some fashion houses like Gucci etc...

My name's Cecilia, I live in a seaside town near Grosseto with my brother, Francesco, and my parents.

This is my last year at school and then I would like to go to university to study European languages in Florence or in Rome. Otherwise I would like to study Conservation of cultural goods.

But I would also like to spend some months abroad, in Germany or in England. I haven't got a lot of hobbies, but I've been playing the piano since I was 9 and I go to the gym.

My name is Silvia and I'm 18. I live in Grosseto with my parents, my brother and my dog. I like listening to music, reading and I spend a lot of time with my dog Maya. When I finish the school, I would like to become a hostess, but before that I think I'll go abroad 6-7 months, probably to England. I want to travel as much as possible.

Grosseto is a small city in Tuscany. It's an historical city, because many years ago the Romans and the Longobards lived here.

                          Hello! My name is Nadia, I am 18 years old. I live in Roselle near Grosseto and my house is in the countryside. I love animals and I have dogs and cats. I like volleyball very much in fact I have been playing it for seven years and four years ago I took part, with my team, in the National Volleyball Competition. Then I like dancing and going out with my friends and my boyfriend.

Alessandra Marini:

                    My name is Alessandra Marini, I live in Grosseto (Tuscany) in a very nice home and with an “unusual” family, it’s composed of seven members: my father (Fulvio), my mother (Linda), my sister (Fulvia), me, two cats (Chicca and Tigre)

and last but not least a dog (Punto). As you can see, I love animals and spending time with them! By the way I am 18 years old and I am very interested in travelling, visiting lots of different places and above all, meeting lots of people. I’m not sure yet about my future, but I think I certainly will attend University (maybe  to study law) even though I now attend a high school which concentrates on languages and so it will be very different!

Giulia Mazzolai:

                   My name is Giulia. I live in the country near Grosseto with my parents and my brother. I am 18 years old and I am not very tall and green-eyed. I attend the last year of high school and then I have to decide if I want to continue studying (so at University) or look for a job. I’d like to continue studying and I think that I will learn foreign languages better. Now I’m studying English, French and German but when I go to University I will also learn Spanish. I don’t know what job I’d like to do but I believe that it will be connected with foreign languages. I have some hobbies for example I play the saxophone in a band and I really enjoy this. Then I have been playing football in a girls team for the last three years, I am a middle field player and sometimes I score some goals.

Valentina Rossi:

                   Hi! My name is Valentina Rossi. I’m 19 years old, I haven’t any hobbies because I am too lazy to do anything! I would love to do nothing all the time. When I leave school I’m going to study theatre and medioeval art: I’d like to become an actress working in the theatre. I love spending my time with all my friends, I think that friendship is one of the most important things in our lives. Sometimes they tell me that I’m a little crazy, I think it’s true because I like to escape from the quotidianity. Another of my interests is music…I think I could listen to music for 24 hours non-stop!

Chiara Vegni:          Hi! I am Chiara and I am 18 years old. What can I say about myself? I study languages at school (as you probably know), I am not going to study them at University. I’d like to take a year off after school and go to University later on to study Philosophy. What I really like is to listen to all kinds of music, I really love it, especially rock or African music! Sometimes I also play the bongos with some of my friends but actually I am not so good at it. My biggest dream is to go to live in London next year because I think it’s a wonderful city…I don’t know exactly why I adore it, maybe because there are lots of different people living together.
